2009 July 23 -- Avon to cut 1,200 jobs
New York -- Avon Products Inc, the world's largest door-to-door cosmetics seller announced plans to eliminate 1,200 jobs over the next four years and close plants in Ohio and Germany to reduce costs. The job cuts account for 2.9 percent of Avon's work force.
